John McGlynn, Director of Publications at the Lontar Foundations, comments, "Many of the titles that Lontar published in the past ten years--in particular the Lontar anthologies of Indonesian drama, poetry, and short stories--can be attributed to the hard work of Wikan Satriati. Her contribution to the international promotion of Indonesian literature will be everlasting".

Evelyn Ghozalli who illustrated several of Wikan's books said: "A final tribute to our dear friend, Wikan Satriati. To the limit of our short friendship, she was an imaginative person, always dreaming, silly but swift, childlike, but independent at the same time, a wonderful friend of literature, but still forever down to earth.

Rest in peace, Mbak Wikan. We had lots of dreams together. Unfinished dreams. Please, know that you will be greatly missed".

We at Literasia, are extending our condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues in this difficult time. We will forever remember her kindness, and may she rest in peace.
